How the territory running game works
Ttangrun turns your GPS route into hexagon cells (Uber H3 resolution 9, about 0.105 km² each — roughly 15 soccer fields). Run a street you have never run and its cells join your territory; a new 5 km route usually claims 22–24 cells, and repeating the same loop adds none, so exploring pays off.
Solo cells add up in crew rooms. Create a room, share the link in your group chat, and friends join with a nickname. Rankings for total cells, new cells this week and distance update every time someone finishes a run.
Your route and location never leave your phone; rooms only see counts. Training for a race? Plan your weekly mileage with Dalple’s marathon training plans (Korean), and settle who buys post-run coffee with Ghost Leg or Spin the Wheel.
FAQ
- What is Ttangrun?
- Ttangrun is a free territory running game in your browser. Every street you run paints hexagon cells on a real map (about 0.1 km² each), and those cells become your territory. No app install and no sign-up.
- How do I claim territory?
- Tap Start running and go. Each hex cell your route passes turns orange; cells you have never run before are added to your territory. A new 5 km route usually claims 22–24 cells.
- What is a crew room?
- Create a room, share the link, and friends join with just a nickname. Everyone sees total cells, new cells this week and distance, plus 1:1 duels from 2 runners and a crew map from 3.
- Is my location shared?
- No. Your route and cell positions stay on your phone. A crew room only stores counts (cells, km, runs) and the neighborhood name you type.
- Does it work outside Korea?
- Yes. The hex grid (Uber H3) covers the whole world, so solo runs and crew rooms work anywhere. The neighborhood league is opening later.
